The Chinese embassy occupies a remarkable historic building on a major Parisian avenue in the 8th arrondissement.
The colour temperature of the devices, while appearing to be the same on all surfaces, is in fact adapted to the different surfaces.
Asked to redesign the lighting in the embassy’s reception hall while preserving the integrity of the premises, Scène Publique worked to reveal the range of whites in the architecture – walls, ceilings and decor.
In the general atmosphere created by the indirect lighting, the directional beams highlight the remarkable features : mouldings, figures and medallions.
Given the prestigious nature of the site, the second key aspect of the work was to integrate the equipment into the architecture.
