This town centre redevelopment project is part of an initiative to develop the commercial and tourist appeal of the town of Alençon.
The lighting will be installed on masts in the Place de la Magdeleine, with the height of the units limited to 7.00m in order to maintain the pedestrian atmosphere of the market square at night.
The illumination of Alençon’s remarkable architectural heritage, the façade of the Maison Ozé and the foot of the Notre Dame Basilica, designed as part of the project, will play an active part in creating a lively new atmosphere in the town centre.
The lighting project limits the presence of equipment in order to free up public space: in the streets, the luminaires are wall-mounted on high facades. They are designed as a modular system, installed at different heights – 4.50m, 6.00m under the ridge – depending on the street, while maintaining an identical design.
